Next Saturday Mikell Simpson & Capital Rebirth will be hosting their second installment of “Alumni Flag Football Games”. If you missed the first event lets just give a quick recap.
Susquehanna Township defeated a tough and resilient Steel High team. Steel High claims to have been missing some crucial players but never the less Quarterback, Ray Wagner was able to pick Steelton’s youthful defense apart at will.
Bishop McDevitt was able to to pull out a scrappy win vs Harrisburg High. It seemed as if Harrisburg was in control the entire game but couldn’t put it together when it mattered most. Crucial turnovers and Harrisburg’s inability to get on the same page as a team proved to be too much to overcome versus a experienced McDevitt roster.
This Saturday at City Island Sports Complex these teams will have the chance at revenge. Steelton will play against a Lancaster select team with different former athletes from the Lancaster area. Susquehanna Township will play against Bishop McDevitt ?. Harrisburg High will play against Central Dauphin East and the winners will play for the Championship later that day. ?There will be a Women’s Powder Puff Game also in between the mens events (Lancaster vs Harrisburg).
The official ? AFTER PARTY will be at Bridges Social Club in Downtown Harrisburg, PA. Don’t forget to bring a book with you to the event for Capital Rebirth’s book drive!
