Jermaine Marshall – Red Land C/O 2009

Former Red Land and Penn State star basketball player Jermaine Marshall has been found dead in his France apartment, according to the French Pro B basketball team he has been playing for.

The Nantes Basketball Club announced the news on Friday. Marshall was 28 years old. A cause of death was not immediately released.

“The NBH regrets to announce the brutal disappearance of Jermaine Marshall,” a translated version of the club’s statement reads.

“The Club joins the pain of his family and loved ones and gives them all his support to face this terrible ordeal. The NBH is unable to play against ADA Blois on Saturday 19 January and has asked the LNB and ADA Blois to postpone the match at a later date.”

Few details were available early Friday afternoon. Marshall, who played college basketball at Penn State and Arizona State after scoring over 1,400 points at Red Land, joined the Nantes team last summer, according to Ouest France

Marshall has also played in Finland and Holland, according to a team video posted in September 2018.
