Harrisburg United AAU Boys Basketball team will forever be known as the 2019 16u USBA National Champions! They overcame so much adversity this season and showed a lot of heart, fight, and determination.
What makes this team even more special is that over half the team are honor roll students. The coaching staff for Harrisburg United ( Jason Bair & Avery Cloud) took the team to visit several colleges while in the state of North Carolina for the tournament.
Harrisburg United faced the defending USBA National Champ & Adidas sponsored/Silver Gauntlet team, Louisiana Gators.
The Gators were the defending champs and hadn’t lost a single game in the The National Tourney in two years. On paper Harrisburg United would obviously be going in as the underdog.
Harrisburg United was able to pull off one of the biggest upsets in AAU History by beating the defending champs 48-46. Congratulations to Harrisburg United!
