Penn State’s Micah Parsons produced a grand preview of the best yet to come.

The Harrisburg native led the Nittany Lions in tackles for the second straight season and increased his big-play ability.

He flashed stunning pursuit speed and was a greater presence in the backfield.

For all of that, he was named the Big Ten’s top linebacker on Tuesday — the first sophomore to earn it.

Parsons was fifth in the Big Ten in tackles (95) and was second on the team in tackles for loss (11). He also registered three sacks, three pass breakups and forced two fumbles.

He finished the season with a team-leading 10 tackles and a sack against Rutgers.
