Let’s hear it for winter! Sure, we’ve had to bid a fond farewell to all of our favorite outdoor summer pastimes – from cheering on our favorite baseball team to playing a round or two of golf. Now, however, we say hello to the many thrilling outdoor activities that come with the snow and the cold of winter. If you’ve been counting down the days until the first snowfall, you know that spending hours zipping down your favorite mountain in Pennsylvania on a snow tube is right around the corner.Get ready for a winter of thrills and chills at Camelback Mountain in Tannersville, an idyllic spot for snow tubing during the day or in the evening.

As darkness falls, the mountain snow glistens in the glow of thousands of colorful LED lights as you zip down one of 42 snow tubing lanes. Each evening the largest snow tubing park in the United States also presents its popular Galactic LED Light Show throughout the night. Galactic Snow Tubing sessions run for three hours and cost $40 on weekends and $30 on weekdays.

On weekends, visitors can enjoy a special two-hour value session from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visit their website to learn more.You can only purchase your snow tubing tickets, sold first come first serve, at Camelback Mountain. You’ll also have to sign a snow tubing release form before hitting the mountain. Go snow tubing at Camelback Mountain, open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Before you leave for the mountain, however, call 570-629-1664 Ext. 7 to make sure snow tubing is open and to confirm the hours.
