? RUN N GUN is playing great ball with a nice combination of young n ‘older’ talent. With the scoring of one of the Most Outstanding Brothers (MOB) to watch (Demond Bates ) n Jordan Mccraw, the paint work of Hilton Scott the addition of Elijah Barrett, this team has a balanced attack. Artie Ray, Damon Whitaker, Ton McCraw & Lorenzo McCraw seem to have found the fountain of youth…n if/when Chris Whitaker returns, that would make this team almost unstoppable.
? NEXT UP, the PSU-hbg team, is accepting every challenge every game. Playing great team ball, these young guys are lead by another MOB to watch (Donyae Baylor Carroll ) who is scoring at will. Their strong team defense, smart play, constant hustle keeps them in every game. Can anyone stop DBC? Will they have enough to win it all???
? THE KINGS’ play is as inconsistent as their attendance. They may have 10 players one game then only 5 players the next. On the bright side, there constants n current MOBs to watch, Sonny Arp n Shoop Sheppard, will keep them in any game! Will their guys show up to play? Will they return to the chip game to avenge last year’s 1 point lost?
? HALL OF FAME is playing lights out right now! This team of ‘older’ legends with a few young legs mixed in, fights til the end of the game, which explains their last 2 come from behind wins. Led by MOB to watch, Micah Davenport , their inside presence with Lawrence Scott and their high basketball IQ wears teams down n in the 2nd half. N Carlos Balkcom’s intensity is unmatched out there.. he can go on 6 to 8-0 runs, alone, with just his tenacity n hustle! BUT Do they have enough to win it all??
❎ NO FEAR is a team built for competition! Led by MOB to watch, Danny Lansanah, this team is tough n gritty! With a good mix of shooters, slashers and finishers, this team can score in multiple ways! And Guards Ben Dupree n Donte Vaughn put constant pressure on opposing guards. Will they have enough inside to advance far in the playoffs?
⚫ The youngest team in the league, THE PANTHERS, are still looking to find their way. Still not playing as hard and as fast as we thought, the young men are not giving up. Their lack of emotional n vocal leadership as well as their inconsistent energy on the court is evident in their blow outs losses. What players will step up and lead this team?
? Those West Shore WARRIORS ALWAYS COMPETE! Although they havent gotten a win, they’re in every game til the end. Great ball movement n Hustle sets this team apart. But who will step up to give them the extra push they need? Will they advance further this year than last year?
? Last year’s champions, THE FAMILY, started the 1st half of the season in a bad way losing their first 4 games. Some changes in the rosters have seem to hurt the team’s chemistry and attitude. Yet, with the additions of Mark Perry n Qui Jenkins, this team is still a force. Led by the General, Ryan Hill n when the MOB from 2017, Machine Gun Crawford returns, look for them to regain their championship ways n make a run at repeating.
